Terrible euthanasia experience. Took well over an hour to finally put my beloved dog to rest after the process began. I’ve had several pets euthanized and never had an experience like this one. was left alone with my pet after two separate injections” for a couple of minutes “ which in total turned into well over an hour of watching my dog struggle, even after the third and final injection This was not what I imagined for him, and it left me traumatized thinking about what he was put through at the end of his life. I will never bring another pet to Emerald. I re-live that awful experience over and over again imagining what my dog wad to go through during that long, drawn- out process, which should have taken a lot less time. It was agonizing to watch my pet having to go through that. He deserved better.

Ive been to this vet twice too many, my 5 yr old cat has saver social anxiety and will attack anyone who touches her who isnt me. I tried to calm her down because if she sees me or feels my touch she instantly calms down, they yelled at me to sit down and dont touch her. They were being rough when restraining her. They asked me to leave the room i refused. It hurt me so i got emotionally upset and tried to explain why I reached out to soothe my baby . they said if i cant control myself i will have to take her and leave. It was disgusting. I went back again worried because she wasnt eating and the same nurse was helpful until i got emotional again and she visibly became annoyed. I found a better vet who allows me to hold and comfort my animal who talks me thru my worries and my cat even feels more calm going there. I will steer anyone away from this place. Rude staff, un empathetic, and only out for financial gain . Run !

Place was horrible and rough with my cat who passed away a few years ago, emerald animal hospital is only out for $$$$$$ I took him to 2 different vets and both even said Emerald definitely did the bad in my situation at the time. They kept wanting me to pay $500 just to give him IV water. Then wanted to charge me $3000 for overnight. Knowing damn well my cat didn’t have a chance to live…
